How do the operations of the U.S. multinational corporations known as GAFAM impact the transformation of territory and, consequently, of labor? The presentation will discuss how GAFAM function as both digital and socio-material infrastructures that redefine the urban environment and its conflicts. It will also explore how the INCA project has developed proposals for reimagining labor in forms that diverge from and oppose the current models, by mobilizing metropolitan ecosystems in a direction alternative to the present hegemony exercised by big tech platforms.
